How Black and White affects the current breeding...

I've casually been following BW announcements - I considered picking up a Japanese copy, but I'm more patient now. It'll be March - there are other things to do in the meantime.

1) I hike with friends on the occasional Sunday, and one of the friends brought along a former coworker who liked Pokemon, so we did some Pokemon trades at the next hiking meetup...I'm now out of spare Darkrai. (I have my Timid one, and the Japanese Darkrai that was won in a tournament.) Talking with new people about their Pokemon experiences is fun & different.

2) You also hear different rumors. I misheard my new friend saying nothing could be brought forward. When I had time, I started tracking down rumors on what was really going on.

Bringing Pokemon over into BW via PokeShifter
* Yes, you can import Pokemon from 4th Generation (DPP/HGSS).
* No, you cannot import items on Pokemon being brought over.

Bringing Pokemon over via Transfer Machine
* Unknown, regarding bringing over items.

Bringing Pokemon over via Mystery Gift
* Pokemon Battle Revolution, you might be able to still receive Mystery Gift Pokemon/items

It's tough for me, in some ways - I spent so much time collecting all of the berries (uh, except 63 - still looking!)...and now it looks like there won't be a transfer. The only real preparation for item transfer at all, would be gambling on PBR Mystery Gifts to come over.
